The Sunny Arms Artists’ Cooperative, an artists’ live/work space just north of Georgetown, is hosting Art on Airport, an open studio event along Airport Way South, in collaboration with its artist neighbors, the 4810 Building. The studios will open their doors to the public on November 14th 2009 from 11 AM to 7 PM. The event is free and open to the public.

The two participating buildings are located immediately north of Georgetown on Airport Way. The event will dovetail with the monthly art walk in Georgetown known as Art Attack which takes place every 2nd Saturday of the month in the evenings.

Artists will welcome visitors into their studios to see painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking and culinary arts – or just to visit and chat.

Sunny Arms hosts this event with the intention of spotlighting the vibrant artist community emerging and thriving on Airport Way South and in the SODO district.

SEATTLE - The Sunny Arms Artists Cooperative, an artist live/work space just north of Georgetown, is hosting Art On Airport, an artists' open studio event along Airport Way South. In collaboration with its artist neighbors, the Old Rainier Brewery and the 4810 Building, many studios will be open to the public. The three-building event will take place Saturday, June 13, from 11 am - 7 pm.

Artists will welcome visitors into their studios to see painting, sculpture, photography, and printmaking,, as well as performing arts:  music, film, and video. Between the three venues, there will be about 20 artists with work on view.

The participating buildings span about a mile on Airport Way South, from just north of Spokane Street - the Old Rainier Brewery studios - to just north of the Airport Way bridge - the 4810 Building. The Sunny Arms building, which is hosting the event, is located at 707 S. Snoqualmie Street, straddling Airport Way South and 7th Avenue South.

Sunny Arms hosts this event with the intention of spotlighting the vibrant artist communities thriving on Airport Way South in SoDo.

This event coincides with Georgetown¹s monthly Second Saturday Art Attack (just a few blocks to the south on Airport Way South), which takes place from 6 to 9 pm.
